#OurNorthRoad celebrated #DiversityDay this week.
Diversity Day is an annual celebration that embraces the rich tapestry of humanity, honoring the differences that make our world vibrant and unique. It is a day dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the wide spectrum of cultures, ethnicities, religions, languages, and backgrounds that coexist within our global community. On this day, people come together to showcase their heritage, share their stories, and engage in meaningful conversations that promote understanding, respect, and unity. Through art, food, and various interactive activities, Diversity Day fosters an inclusive environment where individuals are encouraged to embrace diversity, challenge stereotypes, and build bridges of empathy and acceptance. It serves as a powerful reminder that our collective strength lies in our ability to appreciate and learn from one another, forging a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
From assembly presentations, to quizzes, to foreign pen pal activities, to a traditional food party bbq, there was a diverse selection of learning happening across the school.
Nursery also invited mums in so they were able to join in the fun by sharing cultural food and dressing up in their traditional clothes, whilst maintaining their modesty in a sisters only environment الحمد لله
We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allâh is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa
[Surah Hujurat, Verse 13]
