On behalf of the Directors and Staff, we would like to welcome you to North Road Academy (NRA)

Located in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent’s Muslim community, the academy has become a pillar of the local and surrounding community with its Islamic ethos and educational offering, as it provides a unique alternative to mainstream school. The school building has plenty of historical character situated over an acre of land, with plenty of playground space and recreational facilities. The academy is easily reachable from the surrounding areas, with many families choosing to move to Stoke-on-Trent from other cities. With its low living costs, access to amenities and convenient transport links to Birmingham and Manchester particularly, Stoke-on-Trent serves many parents’ needs for work purposes too. 

We teach our children how to read and recite the Quran with Tajweed and Tafseer, and embed Salah in our daily routine alongside maintaining a high standard of secular education based upon the UK National Curriculum. We aim to be an academic school with a good track record in public examinations. We also cater for private candidates by being a nominated exam centre for national students. 

Beyond the academic focus, extra-curricular participation is highly encouraged for all our students. We offer a broad selection of clubs and outdoor pursuits such as art club, football, boxing and woodwork to name a few amongst revision and booster classes.
