Lino Art

Our Year 7 and 8 have been exploring a unique type of Art in the form of Lino Printing, also known as Lino Cutting. An early 20th Century art form which is an effective method for creating multiple prints of an artistic piece using linoleum.

The students have been busy with their masterpieces, starting the process with a plan and designing their own prints. The designs have then been transferred onto a block; using various cutting tools to carve. Designs were practiced on paper before being carved onto the final piece.

Whilst many art forms and topics include figural and portrait design, we are glad to incorporate non-figural art within our curriculum; providing an appreciation for the creativity that can be produced without compromising our faith الحمد لله
